I love the way my car sounds, but...
...I think it's too loud.
It was fun for a while having a really loud car, but now it's just obnoxious. I'd really like to weld some quieter mufflers into my existing catback (Magnaflow or Borla Pro-XS's?), but I don't want it to sound like a dump truck, either. Has anyone heard a car with a ProChamber and Magnaflows? What about a ProChamber and the quieter Borla mufflers? I don't want it to be silent, but I'm tired of not being able to hear the radio or talk on the phone. Also, whatever mufflers I buy need to weld right into this catback (can't find a bigger pic, nor one with the catback on the car): http://www.xmsengineering.com/exhaust/media/8033T_1.jpg |
Have you considered the Pro-Chamber + Flowpath route?

I would go with the borla-xs. I had them on my 96 and they weren't really loud. I just hate the way magnaflows sound for some reason

I have a single 3" borla-xs on my svo. It's very quiet compared to the flowmaster 40 or Mac that I had on it. Borla sounds great on a v8!!

Borla XS Pro FTW!

I would do the borla's.Any muffler will fit into your existing catback as long as they are specific for an irs cobra.

Another vote for the Borla pro XS, I loved them on my old car.
