obdII conversion?
 

ObdII conversion?anyone done or know anything about swapping 99 obdII puter ang harness from a 99 ranger to a 88. With turbo 2.3 and using pro racer to tune it. Any help is appreciated thx Clyde

Have u looked into the new megasquirt? guy on turboford sells one ready to go cheaper than what u can get the SCT for.

Gettn a proracer anyways. Thinkn I could get more codes. And use it.all other parts r there.just tryn see if its feesible. To do this.

I don't see why it wouldn't be feasible. Just review the wiring for the instrument cluster on both years

U will need a base tune to right?

+1 Should be a fairly easy swap, I don't remember too many differences in the two trucks. I say go for it :chug:

is the 99 a 4 cyl?

Yes the 99 is a 2.5 4 banger. All these different cubes sittn around the house and I find it more fun to play with the little motors. Lol till nxt month. Lol maybe if coupe is in a good mood and not mad at me he can make me up a good t3t4 hybrid and help me figure out a base tune.

I am close to building the RX7 project and will be using some kinda stand alone for it. Don't know what yet but something under $1k
Coupe may get the job of make my car run!!!
