ticking problem with 03 cobra
 
I have a problem with my Cobra its started ticking sounds like a lifter but its in the driverside head need help with any info what it might be thanks

I think there was a TSB or something on that. Seems like I remember members here several years ago getting heads replaced at the dealership. Pretty common problem

Ok I had a couple people tell me that said they had a recall on the driverside head I believe that's what it is because it don't lose no power its just ticking

Its a valve guide issue they had. Alot of the early production cars did it. Never heard of an actual problem from not fixing it. Just annoying

So what do I need to do to fix the problem change the head do you think it could be the cam tensioner

Without hearing it for sure it's hard to tell. It's more than likely the head tick. You either have to replace the head with a revised head or repair yours
