swapping the computers will not help.

You will need a 24#MAF to run 24# injectors

other things i was wondering was fuel pressoure differences, timing, cam specs., etc. my internet searching has come up with mostly modded cars need some factory specs. if anyone has a site to go to that would be awesome thanks......

FP = the same
timing = slightly different
cam specs = slightly different

To answer your original question, yes you can do that.

the cam has a lobe separation of 122 on the cobra and it was borrowed from a T-bird according to the info i've got.which with the 1.7 on it makes it a hotter cam and good for turbos....

Cam specs:

If you are going through the trouble of sticking cam in, no way would I use a stock Cobra cam. Custom or a power adder cam at the bare minimum...
