Its Clutch Time!!
Had the car on the dyno this past weekend. The stock clutch is slipping, and about to go bye-bye. It looks like the SPEC Stage 3+ is getting the nod, and want to hear everyones thoughts and opinions as to which flywheel to go with....steel or aluminum?
The aluminum is quite a bit more expensive, but will do it, if its that much better. Lemme hear from ya! Thanks! Chris |
Yeap spec 3+ without a doubt. I have aluminumn in my car but might do steel if I did it again.

Sounds good I'd keep a steele flywheel also.

I dunno, I think I'd go with aluminum if I had to do it over. I liked the way the car drove better with the stocker. Talk to coupe about the same 3+ that is in my car, Chris. :nice: |

And, thanks! I hope Coupe will chime in here with some expert info!!! Wasnt your clutch a prototype, or something along those lines? |

Just mostly for drag racing I suppose. I have to rev my car more to get it moving off the line. I think the aluminum is great for the street
|
steel it is heavier yeah but it will keep more moving momentum with the clutch dumps that are gonna be on it in the near future.

The general consensus seems to be..steel for drag racing, and aluminum for the street. Since mine is a daily-driver, then, aluminum would be the way to go. I dont see many 5K rpm dumps on slicks in my future.:jester: I only want to do this job once, and dont want any regrets afterwards. |
