i have a 19:baby: 95... what is the best way to get the chalkiness off of it and make it look good again

probably scuff it up and then paint it again.....

:agree: I think that's about all you can do. Once the plastic starts to fade, it has to be painted.

We have a trim paint we use at work. Its made for the black parts like those. I used it on my fox when I painted it and looks great. Its not flat black and its not glossy, just right.

where do i get it? and do you just tape the cowl off... or do you pull it off, if so... how can i get it off?

best place to get trim paint is probably a paint/body supply store....but be prepared, the good paint (SEM) is kinda pricey (~$12-15/can) not sure about on your body style how the cowl comes off but on the fox body's there are about 2-3 phillips head screws that hold it on....

I wouldn't try to do it with it taped off. Just take it off. :yup:

The stuff we use is 10 bucks a can. I painted my cowl the same color as the car but the spray paint would work great. You have to take a few screws out and it has about 8 clips across the top holding it in. You also have to bend it alittle to get it out between the pillars
