Needing some cam advice
I am wanting to install a new cam in my 95 mustang 5.0. Driveability is priority number 1! Horsepower 2nd! Sound 3rd!
Its stock intake to oil pan now but I might be putting a professional products intake on it also. |
What are your end goals for the car? What kind of budget are you working with to attain said end goal? Going with too big of cam of course causes all kind of other issues that snowball money-wise.....I'm sure you know of what I speak...:-)

That would be the steeda #19 hands down. It was designed for the 94-95 cars. It has awesome driveability and some sound. That is the cam that is in my car.

I do like the idea it's designed for the 94-95 cars. My wife's 95 has a F303 and it drives fine once you learn how to drive it. Lol. And my moms 95 with a E303 drives like crap! |
Any of the popular smaller Ford cams should be fine, or give a call to CompCams and tell them what you're looking for. Don't forget better valve springs to make use of the cam!

I always like the b cam. Good all around cam.

I will look into the steeda 19 cam. My overall goal with the car will be my ls motor and a 4l60e trans lol I have to remove my timing cover to repair a coolant leak I am getting. I figure it only makes sense to slide a new bumpstick in it while i'm at it!

I also looked on steedas website and there are no lift specs on the steeda 19 cam. Anybody know?
|
Never mind. I found them. Thats actually a pretty small cam. Its close to a b cam without the chop lol I wonder how it would do with a set of 1.7 RR's?
