Dyno results, Edgar...

Well I finally got some what of good numbers. First pull on motor was 388hp 370ft lbs all the way to 6000rpm. But was very lean, so square the jets to 76. Next pull 400.5 hp and 432.4 ft lbs, all the way to 6500 rpm and it was still pulling but still lean, kept jetting and change the restrictors, well you name it, until we got 403.2 and 435ft lbs. with a 13.70:1 A/F ratio. So next was the juice, 275 shot, it put down 549hp and 556.8ft lbs, but it got really fat 10:1 a/f ratio, but that will get tune at the track. Anyway I know what the motor wants and there is alot still on the table, I could not get the torque converter to to be shocked when the throtle was at wide open, because the throtle switch was not working so had to hit it on the motor first then hit the juice afterwards and it will make the T/Q get a bit loose. It got the MTet drag radials to break a sweat, lol.

What am I missing here?
Shouldn't a 275-setting give at least 200 at the wheels??? Nice motor #'s anyhow. It's a forged 347, right? |
