Simple question.....

If you use a handheld tuner, can you return it to stock to have warranty work done without Ford knowing it had been tuned???

From what one of the guys on LR, who is a Ford tech of 20 years has posted, yes, they can tell. Apparently it leaves some kind of footprint, just like how you never really erase a hard drive on a computer.

If you're wanting to tune the new truck go ahead and do it. Most dealerships will service and repair it without issue. I'd toss an egr delete on the truck too if it was mine.

I have an extended warranty and don't want to void it!

Most dealerships and even the higher ups at ford have been ok with the egr deletes. I have three of my trucks with 200k warranty and had the egr deletes done without issue. But I understand where you're coming from

Most dealerships I have dealt with want to keep your business so most of them I have dealt with usually dont say a word. Thats my experience anyway.
