Svo Side Rocker Panels

hey, check inside your distributor... all the way down to the hall effect sensor, and the CPS sensor... it is inside the distributor... so you might have to take the distributor off... just a...

moreover... thats not possible... combustion is caused by pressure buildup in the piston, mixed with an ignition source... but once you ignite the fuel air mixture, it ALL burns... the only thing...

it is more than likely either... egr problems... a LEAN condition... or... a very severely retarded timing...

i am pretty sure that a lean car runs hotter... thats why lean cars glow the headers... and burn up plugs... and burn holes in the pistons... i am not dissagreeing with you, but that really doesnt...

you are definately lean though... if you have a tweecer on it, cant you just turn up the fuel curve??? at least till you figure out what the problem is?

thats pretty wierd... i will fall back to the AIR Fuel thing... and is that 25 degrees of timing b4 the SPOUT PIC is put back in... or the vacuum is reinstalled... whichever it is??? so you are...

it could be that he fixed one problem, and caused another... its worth a shot... also.. couldnt it just be a bad tune that is causing it to run lean... because i know extremely lean conditions can...

instead of beating your head in and tearing down reatrded shit, just go ahead and pull the timing cover and check to see if the little dots on the timing chain match up to the keyway on the crank......

yeah id probably lose... it seems i screw at least one thing up every time anyway...
for me...i usually seal it up with the 4 piece rubber intake gasket, and ultra black... which is the high temp...

well... the idler is on a spring... so as long as it turns it will work... and it will only get as tight as the spring is, so the belt wont be any tighter... the idler arm just wont go in as far......

yeah there is a reputed enginge shop in temple, about 15 miles from here... im gonna take it down to tehm and have them put new cam bearings in, and reset the cam, and make sure that there isnt...

okay okay... i found the cam bearing... it is ripped completely out of the block... laying in the oil pan.. ripped in half... chewed all to hell... looks like it went through a cheese grater... but...

yeah already bought a hoist... its coming out today... leaving it together... gonna start at the bottom and go up... dont think its a cam bearing.. .cuz i dont think the starter would turn it over...

pedistals are different, but the rods still turn... the sound is around the back of the motor... and it sounds like #4 side... but it could possibly be in the bellhousing... why?

no... its .544 with the rockers... if you look at the picture of the cam box down this thread... the lobe lift is .3210x1.7=.544 that is the lift at valve time...
the part number on the cam is...

the lines come with it... if its an 87-93... everything will switch over... including the FPR... the 3 bolt one.... not the 2 bolt one on the 1994-95, i had to order that one... its the blue on that...
