if convertible mounts were used in the swap bbk shortys will hit the steering shaft.. its no big deal as for long tubes idk about them and i also put a 302 with shortys in a 85 convertible with reg. coupe mounts and they also rubbed the steering shaft but as i said my longtubes fit great with no issues
