I had a 79RS with a 302 and an SROD, The tranny died first then after a few T5s the rear end died and took a set of 3.73s with it. Similar situation but it wasn't a Wal-Mart, It was the back parking lot at my old HS on a concrete apron with a set of slicks.

Thats when I went to a C4.
