Haha. Bought something completely out of the ordinary last week...a '94 Civic hatchback.
This car is the "elusive" Civic
VX. Elusive for a couple reasons:
1) Most 90's Honda civics have been riced out or motor swapped and are virtually extinct in stock form. This one is stock down to the floormats, tape deck (had Bryan Adams tape in it!), and the lightweight allow wheels specific to the VX.
2) The VX was the 'gas saver' version that featured taller gearing and a "lean burn" engine/computer that supposedly would operate at nearly 20:1 air/fuel while highway cruising. I've seen differing reports on the EPA estimated fuel mileages ranging from 39/50 (city/hwy) to 48/55mpg. One of the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid cars ever made
The only "mods" I'm doing are plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, and anything else that can get me more MPG.
There seems to be a niche following for these things, especially when gas prices rise, so I might stick a forsale sign in the window at some point too.
