I like the hell out of em!no such thing as overkill with your kind of build. Very nice matt. Definately has a personality already.

You can never spend too much money on valvetrain, it's what makes or breaks an engine.

Had to shim the stands a little...Might take a little back out, but pretty happy with it "as-is."
Plenty of piston-to-valve clearance. Must be that tiny cam... For those wondering... I modified a hydraulic roller lifter into a solid-style and checked clearance this way. That way the plunger doesn't give a false reading against the valve springs. |

I do have a question though did Mark give you a decent discount on the shaft rockers?

Welp... In the sake of pursuing other interests, this project is officially axed. Something else is already on the way...
I realized that I am not interested in a 1000hp foxbody mustang anymore so I have sold the TH400 Trans and hopefully 9" rearend soon. The R333 engine is still on the stand and although I could shoehorn it into my coupe, it is way more engine than I'd ever need so it's unofficially for sale too, along with the FAST sequential system. The '89 GT is also available as a clean roller (with tubular Kmember and control arms with coilover kit) so if anyone needs some killer parts, hit me up! Hope the thread and pics have at least been informative and fun. |
