sounds fine in the vid to me.. They're making noise, but it sounds about like a 1.7 should sound on an already pretty aggressive cam lobe. My 1.6 Pro-Magnum rockers are noisy too...have about 60,000 miles on them. I say run it.

My 1.6 Scorpions with an FTI cam sounds very similar.
Ed has a disclaimer on the cam card though....the cam will have a very mechanical sound because of the aggressive grind. I readjusted 2 or 3 times when we first got it going and chalked it up to the mechanical sound. |

My old setup with stock cam & Crane 1.7's was pretty noisy. I put in a "B" cam & used SVO 1.6's and it doesn't make half as much noise. Of course I used new lifters...
