Looks like a great 1st car kid/dad project, I will be there in about 5 years, next spring I plan on having the oldest start mowing lawns and 25% of what he makes goes towards a car fund.
I am looking forward to teaching him (and the 2 other boys) about cars, just hope they want to learn at that age.

Craig, That's a good idea (25% thing). Mine up until this time hasn't really had that much desire to get into cars. I was different, my parents got divorced when I was 7-8 so I never really got to see my dad, so when I did get to see him, I wanted to do EVERYTHING with him...he prolly got sick of me following him around like a freaking shadow!...

It is great that you are giving your son the chance to learn and spend time with you.

Ya, it's something my dad did with me (before he passed in 2001)and something that I'll cherish dearly....hopefully he will enjoy it as well.

got the cam in the other day, timing cover on and painted, water pump on and painted, oil pump in, pan on (and painted), new FMS lifters in (SOB they expensive!!! $112 from summit), dogbones and holder in.

Got the AOD out of the shaggin' wagon and took apart. All in all, it's in "decent" shape. Will need a rebuild kit with bushings/bearings. Daddy's tapped out for now....
