One of the major factors contributing to that is your alt. pulley size. I am assuming you have an underdrive crank pulley installed. It sounds like to me that your alt pulley is too big. You want to lower the trigger point (or charge speed) of the alternator. In order to do that, you need to reduce the size of the alt. pulley. I have one that should drop your charge point about 200 rpms if you need it. Because it looks like you're not getting a charge at idle.

no underdrive pullys. just the stock altenater. it jumps to like 12.5 when i start driving but that is it. and when the lights are on at night it never leaves 11.5ish.

If you don't have underdrive pulley's, then you need a bigger alternator. I have an electric fan and a big stereo & when everything is on, I still don't go below 13. My alternator is a 130 amp. If I were you, I'd go 130 or a little bigger.

The only thing I had to do was remove the plug end and crimp on the ring terminals for the stock 8ga. wiring as the alternator has a "1-wire" hook-up. The other "3-wire" plug went right in to a stock-style voltage regulator. I was advised that anything over 130amp, you should bypass the stock wiring and use a new 2ga. line like you installed.
