Bama Performace

Have any of you guys had experience with Bama performance? Is this a new company from Doug @ Bama Chips?

Edit: After some research, I don't think these guys would work well for me. They also seem to have some customer service problems and quite a few unhappy car owners.

Any other recommendations? I need someone that is ok with remote dyno tuning.

Are you looking to bump a stock motor with a tune or do you have a modified car you are looking to tune?

Possibly both. I'm looking at a couple of cars. Either a 99+ gt or cobra, or a 2005 - 2010 gt. If I get an older gt or cobra, it will get a kenne bell later this year. A 2005 or up gt I would likely keep relatively stock but my understanding is that those cars need a tune after even minor mods. Regardless I think I might also benefit from a tune due to elevation. My understanding is that compression essentially lowers at higher elevations, and allows tunes with more timing due to thinner air. I'm leaning more towards an older car with a KB because, from my understanding, FA cars lose a lower percentage of HP at higher elevations than NA cars. We live at just over 5300 feet and travel in to the mountains means rising to anywhere from 7k to 10k feet. I also must admit that I think a KB just looks nice under the hood and sounds awesome.

This is just for a car for work / school so I don't want to spend more than around 10k or so, which rules out 2011+ cars and 03 cobras.

I have been out of the game to long but what about VMP, Lund, JMS, or Livernois. All of those folks seem to be still in business and from what I recall, all had good reputations.

and yeah for your altitude, boost would be ideal to maintain power if in the budget
