Nittos are good. I bought 2 tires for the back of my 08 last summer and decided to try out Michelin Pilot Sport. So far I like them and they are wearing better than the OEM BFG's.
My only dislike is that they are smaller in actual width than the stock BFG's. So if you decide to try them, look into wider size. I speculate that the BFG's 235 tire is close to a 255 size in other brands as BFG typically runs a little larger in than what the size actually is.

I ran the pilots on front for a while and really liked them. Great handling. Had them on the maxima also. Nitto all the way now.
Will get the pilots on the passat next!

Seems like the 18s have more tread life than a 16 or 17 40k plus on the set i have now.
Got them at a deal from tire rack a few years back at $420 for 4 shipped.
Kind of doubt I will find a deal like that now.

yeah 18" wheels are high. That was the reason i decided to try out the Michelin's. They are not that much more expensive then the cheaper tires. 18" tire pricing hurt my feelings last year.

It will get even worse when I buy the 19's I have picked out

I have Hankook Ventus on the Lightning. They're cheap, and also wear and hook well.
