5.0 Timing..Help..

On my stock balancer, i cannot see any numbers..just what appears to be a 0 and grooves. What does this crap mean? my timing needs to be at 14,said my mechanic. So, how do i read this balancer?

Get some timing tape from summit or jegs, that should help read it easy, since you can't see the #'s, think timing tape is around $3-$4 bucks

yes they are. your best bet would be to mark 14 on the balancer then use the timing light to time, by marking it it will help see where you need to go with your timing, of course do this with the car off. maybe this will help ya out man. good luck

turn it down to the bottom and get some white out and mark you a line down the whole thing to make it easier to see.

scotch brite pad or emery cloth, clean off all the rust, etc...

Then use a paint marker over the lines/numbers, then wipe clean, the paint should stay in the recess.

good luck
