well I made something work. I took the orange peeled paint off the cover with some plastic bumper, paint remover. I took it to the car wash across the street sprayed it down with the paint remover and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. Then I took the pressure washer to it and it took it all off. I now have a fresh surface to work with.
