Paint?

How do I get paint to stick to textured plastic? Its had armorall on it before. Do I just sand it real good or is there a special paint?

FYI: Its the plastic cover that goes over the gap between my radiator and the grill, under the hood trim.

Re: Paint?

One from the recycle yard will have silicone and armour all on it also.

I cleaned mine with hot soapy water and let it dry in the sun.

Then you can start sanding on it, and wash it with hot soapy water to keep the fresh plastic from getting contaminated. Use "Dawn" it cuts through the silicones and crap like that.
