eddie's automotive beside i the D&T motors in golden springs. i dont know if anyone has ever took any vehicles to him for work or not if anyone has can u maybe tell me about your experience? so far he has had my car since this thursday after work so id say bout 5ish pm and is installing my ring and pinion gears and he hassnt gotten them done yet. dunno if this is normal install time for gears or not but i was told 3-5 hours max. so yalls input would be appriciated! thanks matt

8.8 rear fr someone wh knows how to do them should be a 3 hour job at the most

yea its a 8.8 and im highly upset with the guy he told me it would be done at 10 tonight went by and the shop was closed

All i know is that when i stopped by there he said he was waiting for a friend to return his tool to compress a spring if i remember correctly.

Unless you run into unavoidable issues. We've had a few that had poblems like broken pin screws, chewed up spider gears, seized ABS sensor bolt, etc. that oviously added a bit of time to the job.

However, if he's having anything that is complicating the job, he should at least have contacted you and let you know what's going on.

Sounds like he was doing more than just a ring and pinion gear swap. If he needed something to compress the spring, it sounds like he was rebuilding your trac-lock clutches.

Although, I always just use a couple hose clamps and a vice to get the spring back in.

I havent got a single call from him though regardless 4 days on a ring and pinion is a little long wouldnt you think? i understand bout doin to job correctly and to the "T" still just think its a little long

if you know cam tanner he worked there for a while and said he was a pretty trust worthy guy i was plannin on him doin my spring install ill talk to camron and see if i can get him hurried up
