Trans
Got a stupid question. On my 05GT with an automatic trans. how can I check the fluid level of the trans. there is no dipstick? Do I have to rely on the computer to let me know with a check engine light? Just wondering because I noted a little fluid on the bottom of the bellhousing, think I may have a small front seal leak.

if it doesnt have a dipstick, it more than likely will be one of the new setups that has a plug inside the drain plug. I know this sounds confusing, but the deal is, if you pull the middle plug out of the main plug and fluid runs out, it has plenty.

yeah or there will be a bolt you have to pull out and crank the car and if you see fluid shooting around in that area your good.

No dipstick on an automatic?!?
What has this world come to where we are just too out of touch to check fluid in a transmission. What's next? No dipstick for the oil?

none of the mustang auto tranny's come with a dipstick. They are 'no maintainence' items supposedly. There is a company that makes pans with dipsticks I believe. I know that Dave (GI Joe) has installed a dipstick on his 05 Roush

It would be nice to have one, I know they do it because they don't want anyone messing with it , but come on if you see a spot on the floor wouldn't it be nice just to know where your at. Went to Town and Country to check on warranty, it was voided because of the full length headers. I asked if that just applied to emmisions, they said the whole warranty was void. So looks like I'll be dropping a trans. soon for a front seal.
