On the 2.3's I just grab 1 gal coolant and 1 gal distilled water. I usually pour in the entire jug of coolant, then the jug of water. Might have a little water left over. I think SvoBrown is really close, because the book says 9.9 quarts. But you gotta take into consideration there's about a half gallon left in the block...unless you pop the water pump.

Well, there's your problem!
If you buy 50/50, then 2 gallons should get you by, but I would suggest 3 because coolant is always a good thing to keep handy.

because I just got the car in the spring didn`t know how good the coolant was in it so just to be on the safe side ....anywho...the neighbour checked it with his tester and it tested at -45 so now I have plenty of extra "top-up" coolant...and you were right 2 gallons did the trick ..thanks again don

The fan went dead on my wife's a while back. I think it's an in-line fuse...also a very common problem. I was lazy and just put in a toggle switch.

did you run it thru a relay and use the temp sensor to complete the ground loop...also when I was trying to figure out that a/c issue in the spring it seems the fan controller also controls the a/c cluth ...Brian
