Lincoln LS

Alright,
Now I am starting to research these a little more.

I would be looking at a V-6 (3.0 liter DOHC?) so that I could get a manual 5-speed.
Theres not too many out there, but there are some.

It looks like in 2000 they were rated as 215HP, and in 2002 as 220HP.
Does anyone know why, or what year they actually chenged?

If anyone has any information / websites, opinions, horror stories, etc... about these, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Jeanne has told me that when she worked for the Ford dealer those cars were in constantly for service. I don't really remember what the problems were, but she told me they were pretty problematic.

Guy here at work had a V6 5-speed one. Drove it for a few months, nothing wrong at all. Kinda peppy actually.

Now it's a wide-body (ALMS-style) with a YSi-blown Sean-Hyland 4.6L 4-valve motor. Still a 5-speed tho

It's funny , because I had heard that before, but then I have also heard just the opposite too.

There is a guy at work who had bought one in 1999, drove it for 6 years and said he never had a single problem with it.

Yes we saw a huge amount of the early year LS models with issues at the dealership. All kinds of random things. A lot of electrical issues. However there were a lot of satisfied customers with the later models. I like them personally but myself if I was to buy one would stay away from the first 2-3 year models just because of what I saw at the dealership. The later models seem not to have near as many issues. It could also be luck of the draw?!?
