Alpine Radio's
Does anyone know much about Alpine radio's?
Scott had answered some questions for me, however he did not have much experience with Alpine specifically. I am looking at either a CDA-9847 or a CDA-9853. I will be buying the radio through work at a very good discount, nearly 50% off of retail. Any thoughts or opinnions would be great.

Re: Alpine Radio's
I don't have the pleasure of selling Alpine, for territorial restrictions, but I know they are great radios, kind of like Eclipse, they have always kept a simple refined look, nothing crazy. My top choices would be Eclipse, Alpine, Nakamichi, and Pioneer. I sell Clarion and Sony, but ehh they have kind of fallen off like Kicker did going and signing a damn deal with Circuit City.

Re: Alpine Radio's
I have an Alpine in my coupe.
The only complaint I have is the display; it's extremely hard to read when it's bright out and impossible to read whern the sun hits it.

Re: Alpine Radio's
Sounds like it is a good choice.
I will plan on buying the 9853, it has a built in EQ. Thanks for the input

Re: Alpine Radio's
I'll only say this. I had an Alpine head unit in an S-10 blazer a few years ago, and was pushing a 1200-watt sound system. It never skipped, quit playing, or anything. I agree with Brian, though...their display is hard to read when there is a glare. But I'd buy another in a heartbeat.
