They're boat anchors. If you come across anybody tossing out some 289 Hi-Po heads though, let me know!

I have (what I believe) are 289 Hi-Po heads on my 302 (they have the crew in 7/16" studs).
They seem to do very well - but please note that on the older heads they take a different intake gasket set, as the water jackets are much smaller the the newer heads.
If a new head intake gasket is used they will leak out - I just found this out last weekend. The Fel-Pro 1250 are common between the older/newr heads though.

x2 on the newer style gaskets leaking if used with older style heads even on older 302 heads

ok! i didnt know if they might have the same valve sizes but smaller cc chambers so i could up the compression and not lose the flow or atleast not hurt the flow any. but thats what i needed to know! thanks!
