BamaChips First Shelby Dynotune session...

Hey guys,

I went to the dyno today with my first shelby 500 customer. He has a black convertiable.

We started out at 421 rwhp / 408 rwtq.

The first tune with the SCT baseline file made 438 rwhp / 421 rwtq, a nice gain of 17 rwhp / 13 rwtq over stock

Next I made some adjustments of my own and made 458 rwhp / 437 rwtq, up 20 rwhp / 16 rwtq over the SCT baseline and 37 rwhp / 29 rwtq over stock.

Finally I made just a few more changes with some timing as the a/f was perfect and ended up with 464 rwhp / 444 rwtq, 43 rwhp / 36 rwtq gain over stock.

The best thing is at different points throughout the RPM band it had gains of 50 rwhp and 50 rwtq. We could have waited 30-45 minutes and/or iced the supercharger but I wanted to see what it would make with minor cool down periods, mainly the time to make a tune and load it in the car. It was very cool though and if this car had an intake and a pulley swap, 550+ would be easily made...

Not to mention though when he drove the car afterwards he loved the new throttle responce from the BamaChips tune, I did make some adjustments to the throttle to reduce the low speed delays, not enough to make it surge while driving but just enough to make it even more fun to drive!

Here are some photo's of the car and the dyno sheets....
