Very disappointing day today on the rollers.

Car only put down 291/325 which is about 35-40 rwhp less than I was expecting. Peak power and torque is also lower than it should have been. Here is the best pull I got today 'tuned' (blue) vs my old n/a combo with the B cam (red)

Guess it is time for some 185 heads and possibly a different intake

Call Ed Curtis. He can help you find the 30-40hp you're looking for.

Thinking some more about it today and I think the 1" spacer that is one the car now might be why the n-61 combo falls below the 'B' combo in the upper rpm. I did not run the spacer when I had the first n/a combo. Only reason I run it now is due to the needed clearance of the stud girdles and valve covers.

most of your problem lies in the intake.i can bet it would pickup a good bit with a systemax on it or maybe a performer rpm

Yeah I know. You know that cobra intake has some sentimental value (its the one of two places that actually say cobra on the car) but its time to put it in the stock pile of the other OEM parts..
