the rest of the story...
well, for all of you that helped me the other night, thanks for all the replies... while my eec isn't bad, it led me to look for a direct test for the ECC (OBD I) port, which i found... as WICKED told me... it was under the hood by the A/C condenser, and the RIGHT strut tower... it seems that in 1995, the v6 models used the obd2 under the dash... but they shared the same chassis as the V8... and the V8... 5.0 ( not MODULAR) had a hard time with the obd II... so it stayed OBD1... it is one of very few cars that did not switch until 1996... when the lovely people at ford came up with the 4.6 idea... anyway... the obd1 got me to the distributor... which i removed... cleaned and reinstalled, and it works like a charm... i got my BABY back... thanks and i hope it helps any 1995 guys out there

Re: the rest of the story...
it's always something simple, that's why it's so frustrating.
