Hey guys I am new here and I figured I'd introduce myself. My name is Jarad I live in the big town of Hayden, AL. I've always been a big fan of the mustangs I've owned atleast one since I was 16 starting out with a 70 fastback (I still have). Right now my current street car is a 67,000 mile rio red 95 cobra. It's pretty well stock except for Flowmasters, O/R X pipe, CAI, and 3.73's which are being installed right now. I'm going to put together a fresh forged piston motor with a small cam and the stock GT40 heads and cobra intake. I'm thinking about putting a supercharger on it later but for now I'm just trying to get everything right on the car because it sat up for about two years without being cranked. It needs a few things here and there but so does every other 12 year old car I know of.
I also have a drag car that is tore apart right now. It's a back halfed 91lx coupe with a alky injected 466 and powerglide. It ran a 6.51 at 104 (1/8th)out of the throttle earlier this year but I tore up the starter and flywheel last time I went to the track with it. For any of you guys that frequent Steele dragway on Saturdays my dad owns the screaming yellow all fiberglass 06 mustang that's been running up there weekly. It dynoed at 690 hp at 6400 rpm's on a dynojet chassis dyno and runs 5.40's at 125 (1/8th) in good air. Nice to find a stang forum with some local guys on it!! |

Welcome, I know exactly where Hayden, AL. is. I used to live in Blountsville. Everything runs off AL. 160 and I-65 in Hayden/Corner area. That's a pretty good hump for you to be going to Steele. Figured you to be going to the one up north, Cullman I think. Anyway, Welcome to a great site with a bunch of great people who love Mustangs and fast cars.
