I use to run the f cam with ported stock 302 heads and it made decent power. If I remember correctly, 270 rwhp and 310 rwtq.

i've got some 351 gt40s. i also have a b cam but from what i've been reading it would be a benefit to sell the b cam and go with a f cam.

Just an FYI
Only difference in a gt40 head between a 351 and a 302 is the mounting bolt hole diameter |

Are these old heads with press-in rocker studs? If so, you may want to consider having them replaced with screw-in studs. I've heard of a lot of people having the stud pull out -- especially when using a more aggressive cam than originally was intended for.

Your B-303 with the 1.7's will work fine with those heads. Get a set of ARP bolts (or studs) with the adapter washer to allow the use of the 351 heads. This washer fits in the 1/2" hole and takes up the space between your smaller 7/16 bolts found on the 302. Edelbrock also sells them separate if you already have your bolts. Get a Felpro 1250 intake gasket and it should be fine. I don't recommend porting iron heads...with the low cost of aluminum heads these days.
