injector size and color

ok my friend and i have new edge gt's mine is an 01 his is an 03 both are 5spds his injectors are like a pink faded red color and mine are a yellowish gold color wondering what size injectors we have and if the yellowish ones are stock? we've raced and i get a big jump on him right from take off we also have the same upgrades minus a mgw short throw shifter on the 01 will that make that big of a difference in a drag? weve even traded cars to see if it was maybe the driver but no the 01 just pulls on the 03 03 has way better tires than the 01

Yellow are 19# (stock)
Red are 30#
I don't think tires are the determining factor though.It sounds like somebody at one time may have put the 30#'s on his,but did'nt follow with the right MAF meter,which would cause a rich issue,and bogging on initial acceleration.Just my .02!

since ive only drove it once the car didnt seem to bog any just like it spun bad..... but his car did have better et's and trap speeds than mine.... but like goin down the interstate i have the edge on him

they changed injector colors and style in 03 i do believe.they are still 19's just different color

Yep, the pink injectors are still 19#.

The 30's are red... not pink.

I know the newer style are supposed to have a better spray pattern.Italian,thanks for the info,I didn't know about the pink injectors.

Sounds like he has lower gears than you do to me.........

his car when we first got them was more stock than mine but has more miles....... i think an older person owned his and i think someone younger with a few kids had mine tried to put a sub in through the back seat (thats a fun removal) and had found a few little kid items under the seat so i dont think he has gears unless they put them in there from ford in like 02 btw i win the bracket races
