So my car ran 12.50's@108-109mph at a 3500lb race weight with 290rwhp according to Blake's dyno. Does that sound right?

Nope, base on the ET it should have a peak hp of 354 hp but your mph is saying that your hp should be 344hp, factor of fuel, weight etc.. Now say with that 290 hp and that weight, your car should had run 13.36 at 102.

On the calculator I used, I got between 398 & 414hp. Didn't give me a tq. # though.

Unless I am the only who only looks at SAE numbers?

I dont know when you dynoed your eng combo, but he told me years ago, that my 302 was the highest he had seen N/A..lol, 330HP...but my thing is dyno's dont mean shit....its only a tool.......the best dyno is the TRACK!!

oh I agree that it is only a tool. My cars have never been "dyno queens". I would never build a car just to put on a dyno and never do anything with it like I have seen a number of people do

I suppose (in a manner of speaking) that dyno numbers are as much of a bragging right as time-slips are. I have seen huge dyno numbers at GTR created by cars that still had stock suspension...and I gotta think how are those cars gonna hook at the track.
