Mod 5.0 swap in SN95
Has anyone swapped the new 5.0 into a sn95 car yet or started researching it? My motor is DOA in my 98 GT and I thought upgrading to the new engine would interesting.
Parts needed? Bell housing? Radiator k-member? Issues splicing new ECM AC compressor Starter Alternator thanks, George |

I think it would be a lot easier and cheaper to take a 4.6 DOHC from the same era and stroke it to a 5.0.
Odds are wiring would be a nightmare. Considering the drive by wire t/body, swapping to c.o.p ignition, getting the variable cam timing to work correctly, etc..

Here's an ongoing build over on Stangnet, where they're putting one in a Fox, which is the same basic chassis as an SN95....

If you are wanting to do a 5.0 mod motor I would hold off and try to find a wrecked GT so you could buy as a donor car.
I have a feeling that would be the easiest way to do one now. Maybe in a year or two there will be more supporting kits to do this swap.
