pinion angle

I was just wondering when you are setting your pinion angle where are you placeing your angle finder? I have been told 3 different places to do it from. I am checking mine on the rear chunck below the yoke on the flat spot will this work ? Thanks Steven

I always place it on the pinnion flange itself

Best to place it on the pinion flange as mentioned.

I always use the u-joint cap.
