Hey Juiced, would it be for your 01? Because if it is, you need an auto computer. Also, if you do get the auto computer in it would have to be flashed at a dealership for it to work. The computer has the cars vin programmed into it, and it communicates with the alarm. Car won't start without the flash to match them together. It is my understanding that you can put a stick in an auto car, but not the other way. The computer controls the shifting of the trans. It aint like the fox A9L or A9P!!! That's the problem when my brother in law tried to do the same on his '03. If I am wrong, somebody please tell me!!!! (cause that's what I was told by GTR)

I didn't think it would work, but had to ask to make sure. I put a 01 cobra motor in my 99 gt and was thinking about going ahead and swapping the computer also, but I guess I will just have the gt tuned.

It can be done, it's just a pain. Tuning your current computer would be so much easier and cheaper!!!!
