4.6 questions ?

Hey guys , a friend of mine just bought a new 08 f-150 with the 4.6 and I was wondering if the f-150 has the same 4.6 as the mustang and their are any differences what they might be. thanks for any insight

they are the same as the 05 and up mustangs with the exception of the intke and exhaust manifolds i believe..

Is it a 3v? For some reason I am thinking that 09 is the first year for the 3v 4.6 in the trucks

I'm pretty sure they've been 3V's for a while now.

I knew the 5.4's were. Don't know why I am thinking the 4.6's remained 2v's

I'm almost completely certain that the new body style in the F150s brought over the 3V 4.6.

I guess that means I may have been right. I remember reading the 4.6 3v was introduced for 2009. 5.4 has been offered with a 3v ever since this bodystyle was released

have they fixed the spark plugs breaking off in the heads on the 3 valves?
