Cool Good Heads?

Looking for some heads to match my eld performer rpm intake. I should (hopefully) be coming into some money soon. Thinking of compiling the HCI as this will not be enough for a turbo build since I have to buy a complete kit.

price is doable and they are aluminum, I know AFRs are used a lot but they seem to cost a lot more

Good job on trying to keep stuff matched up. Compare pricing on the trickflow heads also.

Any aftermarket head is going to be better than stock. I would say that Eddy's and trickflows are comparable to AFR. Both of those 'might' be a better head than my little 165's in regards to flow especially if you are looking at Eddy's with 2.02 valves

The edys are good heads. They have a very thick deck also so they are sutiable for turbo applications. The flow very well upto .500 any lift above that will only see a cfm or 2 increase. I have the new MMFF at home and it has tghe flow number on them if I am not mistaken I will look this evening.

Any of the aftermarket Aluminum heads will work very well for what you're trying to do. Personally, because of the port shape, I would try to swing the AFR 165's. They'll keep excellent drivability and work very well with a little boost later. If you plan on going bigger than a 302, go with an AFR 185. That's an unbelievable head for still having "small" ports.

267/185 @ .500

AFR165:
243/185 @ .500

Don't rule out Trickflow. Their Twisted Wedge deign has been proven to work very well and they flow 251/187 @ .500 out of the box.
