hey eric if you have time to get a better look/hear , Id really like for that sound to go away I want to find what it is asap
and if there is two different kinds of chain tensioners how do they differ from the next ...? and is one better than the other

i had a tensioner go out on me a while back. it made a loud clicking sound especially if you rev it up. sounds just like a bad lifter, and it is not cheap to fix it + pain in the ass

did they try another oil filter? I know yall probably think it sounds crazy but it could be that simple. Remember just becuase its new doesnt mean its good. A guy I know tore an engine down twice, he had just assembled it, and it was rattling. He decided to change the filter, he was using Fram eek!, to an AC Delco (yeah it was a Chevy) and it fixed it. A lot cheaper than everything you are thinking.

well i had just changed the oil again after I let sunny king do it and it still makes the noise
