HO firing order..stock stang order whatever that is...13726548. I didn't take it back out since it's getting late and I'm the only one home (besides my 13y/o) and if I got stranded..lol I'd be SOL. It seems to rev better now (where as before it would almost stumble off idle)
Also I can't seem to get it to get more than 10* timing on there (the TFI is almost hitting the upper rad hose on the therm. housing) WTF? This is also a LOW compression motor (turbo friendly -20 or so CC probe pistons)

Sounds like when you timed the engine you may have set the distributor a tooth or two off.
Bring it back up to TDC and reset the dist so you can get a few more degrees out of it. I ran an 8:1 motor N/A for a good while once and that thing loved a lot of timing

I'm with Qkjuiced.Get it @ #1 TDC,and when you re-stick it,the rotor should be pointing at 12 o'clock(ish),as you're standing in front of the car.

I'm as sure as sure could be that the cam is correct (motor was built by ex PRO5.0 racer) and it did not have this problem when I had the incon twin turbo kit on this car, albeit with different injectors and meter (60#'s, and Pro-M meter for the Incon Kit)
Car also has edelbrock gear drive and billet timing pointer that I'm sure has NOT moved. I will see what I can find out today, I may also try some new plug wires, that's a relatively cheap idea, and it couldn't hurt to have them on there. There are ALOT of possible variables with this thing as ALL the harnesses have been donated from a 90 Mustang and put into this Fairmont. I'm ASSuming that everything is hooked up properly and there are no loose connections. On a side note I wish I still had my TwEECer so I could at least datalog, that might provide some insight into what was going on..... Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Hope they did not put a speed density cam in it.....
By the way I have never had any luck just cleaning the idle air control motors. I have always had to buy a new one....

I think the speed-density cams are the "hot" 3/4 versions Dale. They require high-test.

lmao, it's a TFS stage 2 cam, Dale, I was thinking the same thing. I cleaned it...but I'm trying to keep from spending $50 or however much it is for a new one....
