radio interference????

I this usually throws the ground flag but i've checked the grounds and also added one to the radio itself. I've got it pinned down to what seems like the mach 460 amps. anyone had this before? i can disconnect the power to the factory amps and it goes away. Also just replaced the plug wires and disconnected the msd box also thinking that would help didn't change anything. running out of options. thanks in advance

I know my Ranger has some whining noise since the ground to my amp got pulled and Ive been too busy or too lazy to fix it. Its the closest thing I have to a S/C whine though so I get a good laugh out of it.

If the 94-95 5.0 came with a rubber boot over the distributor like the earlier 5.0, and it's not there anymore, put it back on.

Actually, the '94-'95's had a plastic snap on deal.Nate, have you done anything different to the car lately? Add any electronics to it,etc? I have 2 of those aftermarket inline noise filters, your welcome to one if you want to come by the house and pick it up!

i've not installed anything electronic wise other than the msd 6A box but i unhooked it yesterday and still had the same problem. The car has done this a couple times in the past but usually either just went away after driving or went away after replacing plug wires. EHARDY what kinda noise filter you talking bout? never used one i've always just upgraded ground wire.

It's a deal that goes inline with the (+) wire to the head unit, with a little black box on it that has a fuse, and a small circuit board inside of it.They're supposed to filter out any kind of electrical/magnetic interference. Are you running an MSD coil on it too?
