I would recommend buying cams that fit what you want out of the car rather than buying cams for sound. Cams are a pretty expensive and time consuming ordeal on a mod motor. What are you trying to accomplish with the car? Supercharger? Nitrous? N/A?

Do NOT buy cams for sound. Buy them for whatever your future application will be (or goal) Talk with a cam manufacturer or somebody like Tim/Andy at Modular Powerhouse. Discuss your performance goals and let those guys pick a cam based off your needs and what will fit your needs. You will still get a mild cam lope out of whatever they recommend |

MPH has built so many monster 2V cars it isn't even funny. Comp Cams and VT make nice 2V cams. I haven't really kept up with that market as much since I sold my '98.

The guy at VT was super nice when I had my 96 and was looking into doing a pi swap. Personally I would call them.

first thing i would do is a PI swap with headers and cams. you will think you have a new car. then the usual bolt ons for that extra push.
