i had my car throw a light on me last nite i was just easing around in it.
p0174 which is system too lean [bank 2] any ideas what the problem could be?

I would swap two of my 02 sensors around and see if it followed it. Do you have mil eliminators on the back 02's?? The reason I am asking is I had some on my 97 cobra and every once inawhile it would through that error and they would be loose.

Yep, unless the banks are reversed on the mod-motors for some reason... which I don't think is correct.

Ah maybe so. Pistons 5-8 are drivers side so I guess it makes sense.

Pistons 5-8 are Bank#2, Remember Lean codes can also mean a misfire. Keep in mind it could be a fuel misfire (injector) or an intermittent (spark) misfire. Can you look at Parameter ID's? Look at the 02 voltage before you replace them, if the voltage is switching while running, the O2 is good, if it is at 0volts engine running, it is a bad O2. If you cant look at Parameter ID's, youll have to crawl under the car and do it with a DVOM (volt meter)-not my favorite way.

check for vaccum leaks also. if you can monitor pids check the baro also to make sure the MAF isnt bad


BTW superranger, are you a ford technician?
