Does anybody know if '96 and '98 Cobra EEC-V's are interchangeable?

I think my '96 Cobra EEC-V (LLX3) is fried and I have a '98 Cobra EEC-V (AOL3) I can try, but if it isn't compatible, I don't want to even attempt to use it. Let me know.

The fuel systems are different. That might give you some drivability issues. Nothing that cant be tuned around, but the cost of a tune might negate the cost of a 96-97 EEC that will work correctly.
