Finally did it.
After calling just about every vendor in the MM&FF magazine lookin for the best prices on 351 swap headers with no luck. I decided to stay with a 302 based power plant.
This is a list of what I ordered Friday morning, DSS 331 Pro-Lite Stroker kit---$1095 DSS Main Support System 3/4" billet aluminum girdle---$299 DSS Pro Windage Tray---$109 DSS balancing of rotating assembly---$175 Romac 28oz. Balancer---$299 Shipping $70 Total cost was $2051.

Re: Finally did it.
Probably the better choice. You will still have crazy power without $1000 headers.

Re: Finally did it.
Yea the guy at DSS talked me out of the 347 kit saying that it was great for low end power but limited to making power at below 6400rpm and the 331 will turn up to 7000rpm easy and be more reliable.
About the $1k dollar headers This is the Kooks prices on their 1-3/4" to 3" collector long tubes. mild steel, un coated---$685 plus shipping and about 4 weeks for delivery Stainles Steel--- $975 plus shipping and about 4 weeks for delivery

Re: Finally did it.
Yeah, I would've probably chose the same route if my headers were going to be that expensive. Sounds like this is going to be a nice motor.

Re: Finally did it.
That is what They recommended and that is what they balance their assembly to.

Re: Finally did it.
That is still up in the air, right now the car has a brand new Big Shot plate system on it so I will run that for a while.
