bypassing throttle coolant
ok i sprang a leak the other day on the line where some coolant passes frome the back of the motor throught the throttle body and then some where else well as luck would have it all my buddys are ls1 worshipers they were telling me about some thing their brothers uncle sister twice removed buddys freind that has a cousin that has an ls1 did on his and read on the internet about bypassing the trottle body and just connecting thew two hoses and netting a cheap power mod i was wondering has anybody else heard of this on a 5.0 and would it be worth becouse i have no clue what this does or why its there so i decided not to bypass until i did some reserch

mine is bypassed, although there was not a power gain. just run a piece of hose from each connector on the coolant pipe

If your EGR is disabled, then it's okay to byass it. The cooling lines are there to keep the hot exhaust gas from heating up the intake.

good point...I failed to mention that my EGR valve took up residence at the Calhoun County Landfill

how do you bypass the egr is there any real gains or advantaged becouse if its not going to do anything forget it.
