I love the way my car sounds, but...

...I think it's too loud.

It was fun for a while having a really loud car, but now it's just obnoxious. I'd really like to weld some quieter mufflers into my existing catback (Magnaflow or Borla Pro-XS's?), but I don't want it to sound like a dump truck, either. Has anyone heard a car with a ProChamber and Magnaflows? What about a ProChamber and the quieter Borla mufflers? I don't want it to be silent, but I'm tired of not being able to hear the radio or talk on the phone. Also, whatever mufflers I buy need to weld right into this catback (can't find a bigger pic, nor one with the catback on the car):

Have you considered the Pro-Chamber + Flowpath route?

I would go with the borla-xs. I had them on my 96 and they weren't really loud. I just hate the way magnaflows sound for some reason

The only Magnaflow setup I've heard that I really liked was with a Magnaflow catted X pipe. It's pretty quiet, but very exotic and smooth. I've heard them with an H pipe and they sounded horrible, which is why I'm a bit hesitant to pair them with a ProChamber.

No, I'm not really a big fan of the sound of chambered mufflers on a 4V.

I have a single 3" borla-xs on my svo. It's very quiet compared to the flowmaster 40 or Mac that I had on it. Borla sounds great on a v8!!

I would do the borla's.Any muffler will fit into your existing catback as long as they are specific for an irs cobra.

The Flowpaths sound pretty good. If you haven't already, you should hear Marc's car. Granted it might be a little louder than what you are wanting, but in my opinion it's one of the best sounding 4Vs I've ever heard.

Another vote for the Borla pro XS, I loved them on my old car.
