EFI Intakes..

I have been researching EFI intakes for the last few days and I am about to go crosseyed. Other than the TMoss website are there any good website to research a comparison on flow #'s, mild combination power #'s, etc?

From what I am reading right now, there really is no advantage to using any other intake besides a ported cobra intake unless you are turning over 6000 rpm.

I am finding this hard to believe.

That's all I've been able to find ... and it isn't much.

Something's amiss on that graph...Saleen is a Holley...unless they had another earlier one.

And the Edelbrock is not that good, unless that's an Edelbrock Victor EFI manifold.

FWIW, I have an article where a NOVI-blown car did 840+ to the tires through a max-ported Cobra Intake. It was a Granatelli car (Red/white/blue coupe said Paxton on the side).

If I were you, I'd get a box-upper for the GT40 lower you have, then you have two intakes in one ...test them.

It would be interesting to see exactly where the track heat and street heat intakes fall in there as well.

I can tell you that from what I have read so far is that the trickflow 'R' is the only trickflow intake that can compare to the ported cobra and Holley Systemax intake.

As some of you may or may not know, my car is no longer forced inducted. (which throws out any box upper being considered). I was looking at buying a Systemax or trickflow 'R' intake but after doing some reading last night and today, it appears I would be completely throwing away $500 on something that is no better than my stock intake with a little port work.

Note.. Both of the intakes I have mentioned show significant power increases from 6200 or so on over a ported cobra intake but since my combination is going to be between 6000-6200 rpm shift points, I don't I need an aftermarket intake.

Are you staying with the AFR 165's as well? Don't mean to get off topic .. but inquiring minds want to know.

Professional products is just an edlebrock knockoff. Same design, cheaper casting. I think that is the way all of thier stuff is though. Evrything I have seen from them is another company's design, just reproduced.
